The Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industries-International announced that Exterior Wall Systems, Inc. – Mansfield, TX has been awarded the EIFSmart Contractor Distinction.  The company is one of the first 50 nationally to achieve this distinction.

The primary criterion for the EIFSmart recognition is the company’s commitment to maintaining a knowledgeable workforce that has been schooled in standardized, generic exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) best practices.  The eligibility requirements were established to recognize companies that are truly dedicated to quality and training.

The EIFSmart distinction provides a way to identify quality EIFS companies to owners, insurers, architects and other trade factors.  Participating companies are listed on the National Registry on the Internet (http://www.awci.org/eifsregistry.htm) and are identified in Who’s Who in the Wall and Ceiling Industry.

“The industry has needed a way to distinguish contracting companies that are committed to quality EIFS installations,” says Mark Nabity, AWCI’s committee chairman responsible for the EIFSmart Contractor registration.  “We believe a way of identifying those companies through extensive and proper training of their workforce and employee certification.  Likewise, having this title is a reward for the deserving companies.”

Since 1918, AWCI has been serving wall and ceiling contractors, manufacturers, suppliers/distributors and others allied to the fields of acoustics, drywall, EIFS, fireproofing, insulation, plaster, steel framing, stucco and many other interior and exterior applications.
